Dr Kevin Andrews welcomed the esteemed guests and presented the history of the organization in brief, mentioning that Unicaf University is currently present in 11 African countries, with state-of-the-art campuses operating in Zambia and Malawi and new campuses being developed in Rwanda, Zimbabwe and Uganda. He stressed the importance of digital learning as a new era in education and said that Unicaf has enrolled 1.240 students from Kenya so far, who are studying online with partner universities. Unicaf, continued the organisation’s CAO, opened its offices in Nairobi two years ago and is aiming to establish a Unicaf University campus in Kenya in the near future. Dr Andrews referred to the wide range of Bachelor, Master’s and Doctoral degree programmes on offer, in Business, Law, Education, Hospitality, Management, Public Health, Accounting, Finance and other disciplines. He also mentioned that the Unicaf University digital platform provides everything a student needs from enrolment to graduation; its main advantages are flexibility, (students can study at their most convenient times), accessibility, (students can access and download study materials using a PC, laptop, tablet or even a mobile phone), and the opportunity to interact and network with tutors and fellow students in 156 countries around the globe.

The degree programmes, she added, have a strong vocational focus, and an international perspective to prepare students for the global job market. Unicaf offers online degree programmes, the majority with optional on-campus support. Students can choose between Unicaf University’s own, high quality degrees, or pursue online degrees from UK partner universities.
